Blog Mastery: Weekend Assignment #1

Get new articles sent to you.

While you relax this weekend, I have a quick Blog Mastery assignment for you.

I want you to describe your reader.  The best way to do this is to describe their day and how your blog fits in.  Go into as much detail as you can for about 30 minutes.  When your done, find some scotch tape (guys you can use duct tape) and post this description close to your work area.

I’ll make you a promise.  If you do this you’ll become a better blogger immediately because you’ll start writing to a person and not an audience.

Give it a try and tell me how you feel when you get done.

P.S. Several people have asked me to review their blogs in comments.  While I would love to I would get in trouble with the people who’ve paid for a blog review.  So the best option is for you to grab some time with me here.

Hi Stan. I just love how the simplest of questions can make such a difference.

“How does your blog fit into your reader’s day?”

Awesome question – now best answer it!

You want bloggers to get a feel of what their readers may be like. This is great. For us to realize that real people read our blogs and they are not just to be considered lists. We’ll be more considerate of them and this will be felt in our future blog posts.
