#3: Fascination Power Blogging with ALARM!

This is Part 3 Of the Fascinate Series inspired by Sally Hogshead’s sensational book “Fascinate”

It’s the art of agitation.

Fidgeting, nail-biting, tension that crawls under your skin and puts you on edge.  You feel it when you have a problem that you can’t solve. It’s the stress that grinds on you when there’s a chance you will miss something important.

Sometimes it scares you.  Most times it’s a dull ache that reminds you to take action. [Read more...]

My Take on “The Copywriting Scorecard for Bloggers”

A quiet launch has just taken place for Darren Rowse’s Copywriting Scorecard for Bloggers.  Normally I ignore ebook launches but Darren’s new guide caught my eye.  Check out why I believe his book is perhaps one of the best investments you can make this year.

UPDATE: The book’s price has gone up to $29.97 but includes some extra goodies now.  Still one of the best investments this year.

7 Ways You Can Cheat the 10,000 Hour Rule and Be a Better Blogger

I have mixed emotions about the 10,000 Hour Rule explained (brilliantly) in Malcom Gladwell’s book Outliers.

It gets even more aggravating when it comes to being an authority blogger.  If you need 10,000 hours – then this requirement is impossible for most….

Or is it?

One question about how to use Twitter prompted me to peck out…

“Twitter finally made sense when I realized I was a ‘beat reporter’ for my readers.”

#2: Fascination Power Blogging with Mystique

There’s a chance that Jagermeister’s secret ingredient is either elk’s blood or Valium.  It’s unconfirmed, but Coca-Cola’s Secret Recipe is known by only two people and each of them only know half of it. I’m wondering, do you have the guts to look in your bathroom mirror and repeat the word “Candyman” three times?

That mixture or unbelief and curiosity you feel is…Mystique.

Coca-Cola, Red Bull, eBay, Apple, Jeff “Happy” Schulman, Cirque Du Solei, and KFC uses it. How about you?
