Is your blog doing well?
Is your blog struggling to get new readers and subscribers?
Are you wondering where you need to improve?
These are usually tough questions especially if you are just starting. The problem is that you are so close to your blog that it’s hard to evaluate it objectively.
I can help.
I’ve created a simple application called The Blog Scorecard. Simply sign-up and answer some questions about your blog. The Scorecard will review your answers and give you a comprehensive score on three important areas – Post Writing, Blog Creative, and Blog Marketing.
That’s not all.
I’ve written specific recommendations for you depending on how your blog scores. If you do well, I’ll tell you how to build on your strength. Score poorly and I’ll show you how to improve. Each recommendation comes with resources and video to move you along faster.
The Blog Scorecard is free while it’s in Beta so you can put away your wallet (even though my friend Ellen begged me to charge for it!).
Why I built the Blog Scorecard
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m a nerd. I just happened to be a nerd that loves strategy, speaking, writing and coding. These days, folks would call me a “full stack markter”. I’m not sure what that means exactly but it sounds cool.
So I wrote the Blog Scorecard to teach myself how to code with Ruby on Rails. This is the programming language used to create Basecamp and a lot of other awesome sites.
It was tough at first but now I’m good enough to be dangerous.
I had another reason.
I believe we need more tools and less talk in the social media and content marketing space. I’m getting a little tired of hearing the “Why & What” without the “How”. The Blog Scorecard is the first of many ’How Tools” that I’ll be offering on Pushing Social. So stay tuned.
